Blogs and Content Management Systems (CMS)
I am sure that you have heard the term “blog”. However, you may not be familiar with the term “CMS” which is a content management system. Typically a database is in the background that stores the content/information (text) you have added and then a theme or skin is used to display the information.
In addition, a CMS can reduce your website maintenance expenses, because quite frankly they are easy to use and you don’t have to worry about “messing up” the design.
This website uses WordPress that I have customized to fit my needs. If you have an existing website a blog can be easily added (quick way to update or provide information) or completely convert your entire website over to WordPress, or another CMS, and keep the existing design.
There are an incredible amount of free WordPress themes out there as well as premium themes (not free).
Here is s short list of some of my favorite places to look for inspiration (actually any design can be converted to a theme) or purchasing themes for clients.
